Recent clients and assignments, 2013-18

  • Building Capacity to Use Research Evidence Evaluation, DFID: Team leader, 2014 – 17. The final report from the BCURE evaluation is now available here, with lessons on strengthening capacities to use evidence in policymaking in government from a three-year realist evaluation in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa and Sierra Leone. In association with Itad.

    We found that working with governments to build capacity for evidence use requires a politically informed and multidimensional approach – capacity gaps should be viewed as just one element of a tapestry of factors that block or disincentivise evidence-informed policymaking. Read more.
